Our Taekwondo team did not start their campaign well with all members losing their matches. The Post Courier reports Albert Karulaka as the only one losing with the closet margin. He lost to Tahitian Francois Mu 9-4 in the 54KG division.
In the 63KG division, Anton Aitsi lost to Paraitia Brothers of Tahiti 14-7 and Ivan Kassman lost to another Tahitian Kuaoleni Mercier 15-8 in the 74KG division. K Anisa went down to Jonathan Berger of New Caledonia 100-0 and Donald Karo also fell victim to another New Caledonian Yohann Courtine. Our females also suffered defeat.
Bonnie Nohokau in the 53KG division lost 14-0 to Lindsay Gavin of New Caledonia and her fellow countrywomen Noelyne Hentana also lost to another New Caledonian Raihan Tanotaha 19-3.
